Registration
a) Procedere
Registration may be submitted through online registration or with the corresponding .pdf form on the Internet at www.veloclassico.de until 10th of September 2021, 12.00 midnight.
The fully completed and signed registration form needs to be sent to the address given in the letterhead by postal mail.
Registration sent by fax, as a copy or by electronic mail will not be accepted.
At the place of event, late registration is open
From 12.00 noon to 07.00 pm on 14th August 2021
From 6.00 am to 8.30 am 45k and 90k) on 15th August 2021
And From 6.00 am to 7.00 am (150 k) on 15th August 2021
An official identification document and cash payment are required for late registration.
The participant may withdraw from the event within two weeks after the registration without any form of cancellation insurance. However, the participant may not claim refund for the organisational fee of 10 EUR.
After two weeks, the registration is binding and the reimbursement of the registration fee is excluded.
Participant registering online pay by direct debit through the direct debit authorization.
In the cases of underfunding or withdrawal of the direct debit authorization or deficient bank details, the participant is debited with 11 EUR of costs incurred.

Only if the bank proves to the account holder that the full amount of the bank transfer was duly received, the participant is listed in the official starter list online at the website of VELO CLASSICO GERMANY.
b) Transfer of Race Numbers
The participant has the right to transfer the race number to another participant.
After receiving the official registration confirmation (online registration), you may rename a substitute participant in written form (info@veloclassico.de) to the organiser. All booked services are transferred to the substitute participant. An organisational fee of 15 EUR is charged for the transfer of the race number.
The right of transfer is limited to one transfer per participant!
c) Cancellation Insurance
During the registration process, we offer cancellation insurance in cooperation with HanseMerkur Insurances.
Detailed information on insurance benefits and general insurance terms are available on the registration portal on the VCG website.
d) Tandem Teams
If you want to start in a tandem team, please register as a team of two within the team registration.

Lost and found items
Contact point for lost and found items is the service point at the start and finish area. Lost and found items collected by the broom waggon are dropped in this designated area.

Along the way you get regional, high-quality culinary delights at the rest stops.
Service and First Aid

III. Reglement
Basics
The tours are held under the regulations of the enclosed General Terms and Conditions, the general regulations as well as the general information for all participants.
The regulations are published on the website. Information for the participants are made available upon accreditation.
By registering for the event, the participant recognises all provisions.
We strongly recommend all participants to be familiar with the regulations early enough.
Prerequisite for Participation
The rounds are open for all cyclists. The minimum age is
for the Heroes-Course: 18 years; 16 years in consent of an parent or guardian and consultation with the organizer
for the Enthusiats-Course: Children under 14 free starting accompanied by a parent; 14-18 years with parental consent.
For the Gourmet-Course: Children under 14 free starting accompanied by a parent; 14-18 years with parental consent.
No club membership is required to participate.
By participating, each rider commits to check medical requirements, if necessary with a doctor, and to prove a sufficient state of health.
Route
The route can be found on the website in detail. At the rest stops the timecard are stamped, as proof of the “conquest” of the track and associated receiving medal.
For a first orientation, this is the preliminary route – pending a final decision of the local administration.
Riding Regulations
The rounds will be held on public roads in unlocked, partly water-bound roads. The roads are mostly not secured, that it is expected to gravel roads and cobblestones. We recommend to carry a bicycle tube and repair kit with you.
Roads are not closed for the event. Road traffic regulations have to be observed in full and with no exception.
In particular, participants are obliged to follow the rules of keeping to the right side of the road and stopping restrictions on traffic lights and railroad crossings.
Participants must expect oncoming traffic and overtaking vehicles at any time.
Each participant shall behave in such a way that no one else is endangered or injured.
Emergency vehicles with special signals have priority.
All orders and instructions of the event management and its representatives must be observed unconditionally by the participant.
The organiser has the right to disqualify participants violating these regulations in any way.
Further, the organiser has the right to disqualify participants in the event of evidently passing the checkpoints no longer timely.
Dumping litter and drinking bottles is prohibited. Any violation of littering regulations leads to immediate disqualification from the event.
Closing times on 15th August 2021
The rest stations will be closed after the passage of the broom wagon. Control closing time at the finish in Ludwigslust is 07.00 pm.
Time keeping
VELO CLASSICO GERMANY is a vintage cycling event without ranking, timekeeping and assessment.
Start number
Participants receive their race number at accreditation on presentation of their registration confirmation and a photo identification.
Please fasten the race number tightly at the handle bar and place it legible.
The race number for the jersey is pinned on the back of the shirt at the level of the pockets

Behind the castle of Ludwigslust, close to Schweizer Haus.
Average speed
To participate in Velo Classico Germany, no minimum average speed is required.
the finish line at the Schlossstraße, Ludwigslust, space in between town hall and old post office, is open until
09/15/2021, 07.00 pm.
Participants, who do not reach the finish within the time limit may use the brrom wagon to get back to the start and finish area.
Participants, who wish to finish the circuit beyond the official time limit, are obliged to return the race number due to liability reasons. Afterwards, they continue the race beyond the applicable rules and regulations of the Velo Classico Germany.
Finish
The organiser explicitly asks to avoid dangerous driving manoeuvres at the finish to prevent falls.
After the finish, participants are encouraged to leave the finish area promptly in order to prevent collisions.
Please note that there is the last stamp station in the finish area!
Medal
Each participant who submits the time card completely stamped, will receive a medal, which will be handed over immediately after showing the complete time card.
Requirement to Wear a Helmet
During Velo Classico Germany there is NO requirement to wear a helmet!
Clothes
There are no explicit rules for the type of garment. However, clothing shall not increase the security risk.
As part of the VELO CLASSICO GERMANY it is encouraged to dress with vintage clothes (e.g. 20-30s, Tweed, …).
However, we recommend participant to equip with garments that protects from low temperature, wind, and rain.
Equipment and Accessory
For the Gourmets-Course and Enthusiasts-Course each technically fully intact bicycle is permitted, possibly with historical background.
For reasons of safety, the following hang-on parts are not permitted:
– disc wheels at front / back
– Triathlon and bull horn handlebars
Requirement for the Heroes-Course
- classic racing bikes up to 1989
- strap pedals
- Frame circuit
- Open brake cables
- Matching Outfit desired
- permitted are the moderator click pedals and brake lever combinations
- Minimum age: 18 years (in exceptional cases and consultation over 16 years) with parental consent.
These conditions are checked during the accreditation process.
We are riding on public roads and open country roads. We recommend to carry a bicycle tube and repair kit. German road traffic regulations have to be observed in full and with no exception. Escort vehicles are not allowed.
Single Speeds / Fixies are admitted if they have a free wheel hub and two independent brakes.
IV. General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
§ 1 Requirements
Anyone who is properly registered and accredited and has an official race number of Velo Classico Germany 2015 can take part in the race. Minors are not allowed to participate in the race. No club membership is required.
§ 2 Obligations
(1) Every participant shall make sure that his/her health is in a state that allows him/her to take part in Velo Classico Germany, and consult a doctor, if necessary. He/she shall have proper equipment and wear a helmet during the entire race. Such helmet must be in compliance with ANSI/Snell and the new TÜV/GS norms respectively, or the UCI regulations.
(2) The instructions and requirements contained in the event information, along with instructions form the staff and helpers, must be observed. The organiser reserved the right to exclude and/or disqualify the respective participant form the event at any time in the event of infringement which disrupt the proper progress of the event or threaten the safety of the other participant.
(3) All additional instructions, directions, and requirements in the event information and competition regulations (both can be downloaded in .pdf format at mecklenburger-seen-runde.de), as well as those n the starter’s information booklet (given to each participant upon registration) form a direct contractual duty for the participant. The participant acknowledges the regulations and the General Terms and Conditions by registering
§ 3 Concluding the Contract
(1) The registration, which represents the participant’s binding contractual offer to the Koepke GmbH, can only be conducted either by sending the fully completed and legally binding, signed registration form, or via online registration at www.mecklenburger-seen-runde.de. Registrations by fax, as a copy, or by e-mail cannot be accepted.
(2) Each participant must register himself/herself, and can do so only once per event. Double registration will not be accepted – i.e. in the event of a double registration by one and the same person, there is no right to an additional place.
(3) The contract only comes into force if the participant has accepted the General Terms and Conditions and the regulations, either by means of his/her signature on the registration form or explicitly by clicking the relevant box on the online registration. The entry fee is only deemed to be official once the organiser receives the entry fee and the participant receives the official entry confirmation.
§ 4 Payment
(1) Participants registering online shall pay by direct debit through the direct debit authorization system.
(2) If the payment is not received due to insufficient funds to cover the bank debit, or due to cancellation by the participant (even at a later point in time), the Koepke GmbH is authorized to withdraw from the contract without setting any further deadline, and to charge the participant the costs of cancellation.
Costs that arise from a return debit note or the corresponding charge of the respective credit institute, as well as administrative charge in the amount of 11,00 EUR for the organiser, will be assumed by the participant.
(3) Participants registering in written form (online .pdf form) shall pay by bank transfer to the following bank account:

(4) Only when the transfer amount is duly received by the account holder, the participant will be listed online on the official starter list at the website of Velo Classico Germany.
§ 5 Accreditation
(1) The participant obtains the race pack at the accreditation solely by showing both the official entry confirmation (online registration) or transfer voucher (registration via .pdf form) and the personal identity card. If the participant is unable to do this, he/she must ensure that the race pack is collected by a person with written authorisation. Race packs can only be collected by a persons who can provide suitable proof that they are authorised to do so. We cannot send the race pack. by mail.
(2) If the participant hast lost or is unable to present the official entry confirmation, a replacement confirmation shall be handed out.
A flat charge for processing and material expense of 2.00 EUR shall be collected for this, which is to be paid for in cash by the participant upon accreditation.
(3) Every participant is obliged to check his/her race pack received at the accreditation directly after receiving them, to ensure that they are complete. Later claims will not be considered.
§ 6 Withdrawal
(1) A free-of-charge withdrawal will be possible up to two weeks after registration. Cancellations after this period will not be accepted. Registration fees are not refunded in the case of a withdrawal after this period.
(2) The participant can avail of a cancellation insurance policy during the registration. Further information on insurance services and the General Insurance Conditions may be obtained on the registration portal the organiser’s website.
The insurance may be effected retrospectively.
(3) In addition, a participant who has already received the official entry conformation (online registration) or listing in the official starter list (registration via .pdf form) can personally appoint a substitute who will be acquiring all of the booked services.
An administrative fee of 15.00 EUR will be charged for the processing of the substitution. A race slot that has already been transferred cannot be retransferred onto a new participant.
§ 7 Cancellation of event / No-Show
(1) The promoter reserves the right to change the scheduled programme or to cancel the event due to Acts of God, for safety considerations, or if required to do so by official orders. In such cases, the promoter shall not be liable to compensate participants for any losses incurred, including refund of the registration fee and costs of travel and accommodation.
(2) In the event of now-show on the part of the participant, any claims against the organiser are null and void. Claims against the cancellation insurance policy remain unaffected.
§ 8 Liability
(1) The promoter shall not be liable for health risks of the participant in connection to the participation in the race. The participant enters the race on his own peril. The participant is aware of the specific risk concerning a cycle marathon on public roads.
(2) The promoter is not liable for property or financial damages that are not at least caused by negligence or gross negligence. Excluded from this restriction of liability are damages that are by personal damages (damages to life, body, or health of a person).
The preceding limits of liability also apply to the liability for personal damages for employees, representatives, fulfilment assistants, and third parties who assist the promoter in connection with the realisation of the event or who are bound by contract to them for this purpose.
(3) The organiser is not liable for default on services provided by external partners and services which are listed in the specifications of services to be external services explicitly.
(4) The promoter – Koepke GmbH – shall not be liable for participants’ belongings, articles of clothing, objects of value, and equipment. It is the responsibility of the participant to have sufficient insurance coverage.
(5) By receiving the race number, the participant bindingly declares that the state of health enables participation without any health risks
§ 9 Data Collection and Use
(1) The personal data submitted on the registration form by each participant will be stored electronically and processed for the purpose of the entrant’s registration and for the proper staging of the event. The personal contact data collected will be conveyed to a commercial third party for the purpose of verifying the registration and for timekeeping, as well as for the generation of lists of results and the publication of the results on the internet and in newspapers. By registering, the participant consents to the storage of such data for these purposes.
A further disclosure of personal data is excluded.
It is recalled that you have the right to revoke such consent at any time with future effect.
(2) The participant hereby agrees that the data entered in the registration may be used by third parties for timekeeping, ranking, results and photo search purposes, or forwarded to the same said purposes. The participant agrees that the photos, videos and interview recorded in conjunction with the event may be published on the event’s media channels without any entitlement to compensation.
(3) Beyond that the participant agrees to receive information on Velo Classico Germany and partnering events.
§ 10 Severability
The validity or unenforceability of any provision of this Agreement shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of this Agreement, which shall remain in full force and effect.
By registering for Velo Classico Germany 2015, I agree with the above-mentioned terms and conditions, in particular with the data privacy statement.
